The Supertech Black Nitride Single Groove Intake Valves are engineered for enhanced performance and durability in Audi and VW 1.8T, 2.7T, and related engines. Each valve is meticulously crafted from an enhanced version of EV8 (21-4N) steel, recognized as the highest grade available, providing the robust strength required for demanding applications. The valves feature a black nitride treatment, which significantly increases surface hardness while maintaining core ductility, contributing to superior wear resistance. The "Superfinish" valve stem boasts a surface roughness approximately one-third of that found on regular valves, resulting in reduced friction, less wear, and improved sealing capabilities. These intake valves are a one-piece forged design, making them non-magnetic and further enhancing their durability. They are also designed with an undercut stem and a back-cut angle to optimize airflow. Benefits include less friction, leading to improved lubrication and reduced heat, better flow rates for increased volumetric efficiency, enhanced sealing for optimal combustion, and improved overall engine durability. The material and construction also help to reduce carbon buildup. This set includes 12 intake valves and is compatible with a range of Audi and Volkswagen models, including the 1997-1999 Audi A4, 1997-2000 Audi A4 Quattro, 2000-2002 Audi A6 Quattro, 2001-2002 Audi Allroad Quattro, 2000-2002 Audi S4, and 1998-1999 Volkswagen Passat.
