EV8 / Inconel Intake and Exhaust Valves

Intake valves are constructed from enhanced EV8 (21-4N) steel, featuring a Black Nitride Coating that provides increased surface hardness, a smoother finish, reduced friction, and extended lifespan, making them suitable for high-powered applications. The exhaust valves are manufactured from Inconel, a nickel-based alloy renowned for its exceptional temperature distribution capabilities, effectively lowering cylinder head temperatures and ensuring optimal performance in engines experiencing very high exhaust gas temperatures, common in turbocharged street and race vehicles. They feature single-groove stems, which are preferred for performance engines as they provide a cushion for the lock and protect the valve stem from excessive movement, extending valve stem life compared to factory triple-groove designs. Oversized valve head options are available, offering increased airflow at lower valve lifts, but these require aftermarket valve seats or machining of the factory seats. Supertech valves are sold individually, and buyers must order the correct quantity for their specific engine. The product is compatible with VW and Audi 2.0T FSI EA113, 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 1 & 2, 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 3 (MQB), and VW 2.5L 5 Cylinder 07K engines. A critical fitment note specifies that intake valves will not fit 2006 and older model year 07K 5-cylinder engines. Additionally, these valves require matching single-groove valve keepers and are compatible with specific IE Performance Valve Stem Seals (sold separately).
