The Magnum EVO-Tech Performance Chip is a programmable ECU tuner specifically designed for the Toyota Yaris IA with a 1.5L engine. This device offers a straightforward method to enhance engine performance by increasing horsepower and torque without the need for a full PCM flash. Once connected, the EVO-Tech chip interfaces with the vehicle's Inlet Air Temperature sensor and the Exhaust Air Fuel Sensor harness. This connection allows the chip to output a remap for the fuel trim, resulting in a claimed 15% increase in performance and stronger torque across the RPM range. Installation is described as a manageable process for tech-adept owners, typically taking around 45 minutes with basic wiring tools. After installation, users can fine-tune settings using the included adjustment knob. The primary benefit highlighted is the enhancement of engine responsiveness and overall performance without compromising stock drivability. Users also have the flexibility to revert to the original Air/Fuel Ratio settings with a simple switch. Key performance claims include a 15% increase in horsepower and torque, a 22% improvement in acceleration, and a 6% increase in fuel mileage. Additionally, it promises higher top-end speed and improved throttle response without flat spots. The product also aligns with Magnum's GO-Green Program, suggesting a potential for improved fuel efficiency. The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty for this performance chip.
