EVO3 Competition Intercooler Kit

This intercooler replaces the factory OEM unit, providing substantially improved cooling capabilities for compressed air flowing from the turbocharger to the engine. By reducing intake air temperatures, it increases air density, allowing for a richer air-fuel mixture and consequently, more horsepower and torque. This intercooler features a high-performance Tube Fin core with turbulators in a stepped design, measuring 550x110x90 / 550x210x50 with a total volume of 8745cm³. This represents approximately 220% larger frontal area and 280% greater volume than the standard OEM intercooler. The end tanks are crafted from CAD/FEA-optimized cast aluminum, ensuring high flow and low pressure drop, a hallmark of Wagner Tuning's German engineering. The core is constructed using a furnace brazed bar and plate design. Specifically, JCW valence bars will require trimming or modification to fit. The unit weighs only 11 lbs (5 Kg) and is finished in black. The Wagner Tuning intercooler is compatible with all Gen 2 MINI models, including the Clubman (R55), Convertible (R57), Countryman (R60), Coupe (R58), Hatchback (R56), Paceman (R61), and Roadster (R59).
