The CTS Turbo EVO4 FWD High-Flow CAT is a performance-oriented downpipe engineered for the MK8 VW GTI and 8Y Audi A3 equipped with the EVO4 FWD platform and Garrett turbocharger. It replaces the restrictive factory downpipe, allowing exhaust gases to flow more freely, which can lead to increased horsepower gains, particularly after tuning. The construction features a 3.5-inch cast downpipe flange and mandrel-bent 3-inch stainless steel tubing for optimal flow. It is 100% TIG-welded for durability and includes a removable reducer to fit the factory exhaust system, while maintaining factory mounting locations and stainless steel clamps. The design aims to provide a great sound with no drone, even when paired with the factory exhaust. Key product details include its high-flow catalytic converter, cast stainless steel downpipe flange, and TIG-welded construction. It is specifically designed for the EVO4 front-wheel-drive platform. Fitment is for the 2022 and newer VW MK8 GTI and the 2022 and newer Audi 8Y Audi A3. It is important to note that this downpipe is not compatible with OPF/GPF equipped vehicles. Additionally, while it retains factory mounting locations, most 2022+ vehicles have updated "tamper-proof" downpipe hangers that may require the purchase of an old-style hanger (part number 1K0253144AE) for installation. A check engine light (CEL) will occur upon installation, and proper tuning software must be used to remove it; consult your tuner for compatibility.
