eX-TREME Rear Shock Absorber

The TracTive Suspension eX-TREME rear shock absorber is a plug-and-play, high-performance upgrade engineered for the BMW M 1000 R, model years 2023 through 2026. It integrates seamlessly with the motorcycle's original connector, ensuring that the handlebar controls remain fully operational and eliminating the need for any wiring harness modifications or cancelation kits. Constructed with a robust aluminum housing, this shock absorber maximizes thermal stability and heat dissipation, contributing to consistent performance and longevity of the shock and its oil. It features a 46mm piston diameter and a damping shim stack specifically developed for the application, utilizing high-flow pistons, low-friction seals, and heavy-duty components like induction-hardened 42CrMo 16mm piston rods, quality bearings, and stainless steel bushings. The eX-TREME shock offers advanced damping adjustments, including electronic control via the Tractive DDA (Dynamic Damping Adjustment) valve, which is more stable, offers a larger adjustment range, and reacts faster than original valves. Additionally, it provides manual adjustment for both high-speed and low-speed compression damping, controlled by separate adjusters for fine-tuning responses to track or road undulations and sudden impacts. Hydraulic preload adjustment with a knob allows for easy adaptation to varying loads, providing up to a 15mm adjustment range (typically double the stock range) across more than 60 clicks for optimal balance and load compensation.
