The MODE Auto Concepts EX38 is a 38mm external wastegate engineered for performance turbo tuning. It features a 38mm valve and includes a 10psi spring, with additional springs available to achieve base boost pressures ranging from 5 to 22psi. The wastegate stands 93mm tall, making it one of the most compact external wastegates available. Its design includes a tapered inlet flange for smooth air transition and a larger seat ID for increased flow. The EX38 is directly compatible with TiAl MV-S flanges, allowing for integration with turbo kits designed for TiAl wastegates. Constructed for durability in extreme conditions, the EX38 boasts an investment-cast body made from 253MA chromium-nickel stainless steel. The valve, seat, and all mounting hardware are CNC machined from high-temperature stainless steel. The actuator housing is CNC machined from billet 6061 aluminum, and the diaphragm is made from Nomex-reinforced silicone. An internal shroud protects the valve stem from excessive heat and prevents carbon-related sticking, ensuring reliable operation. The wastegate utilizes a V-band clamp mounting system and is made in Australia under ISO 9001 standards.
