The Rennline ExactFit Magnetic Phone Mount is engineered as a vehicle-specific solution for the Mercedes Benz W124 300E, covering model years 1986-1996. While the concept is a good idea for location, one user reported issues with the execution, noting that the double-sided tape was applied to the wrong end and the mounting hole was not sufficiently sized for a countersink screw, leading to scratching of the glove box cover. This user had to modify the mount by widening the hole and repositioning the tape. For optimal use and to maintain phone mounting while allowing glove box access, the user opted to use their own phone holder and extension. This product focuses on providing the ball mount and bracket, with the expectation that users may utilize their preferred phone holder. The intention is to offer a salvageable solution, though the price point suggests a higher level of finish and precision that may require user modification.
