Designed as a direct replacement for factory units, it ensures a straightforward installation process and brings back the vehicle's designed performance characteristics without altering them. KYB's Excel-G struts are built with meticulous attention to detail, utilizing vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves. These valves, assembled in a pressurized clean room, precisely control tire contact, steering response, and body movement. Seamless, extruded steel tubing is used in the inner cylinders for durability, and a Teflon band around the piston ensures a positive seal, preventing fluid bypass and ensuring optimal valve function. This twin-tube, nitrogen-charged strut is built to the same exacting standards as KYB's original equipment for new vehicles, earning it the OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) classification. Its construction includes robust bodies and brackets for increased rigidity and a sintered iron rod guide to maintain proper alignment under various driving conditions. The KYB Excel-G 3410015 is compatible with Subaru Forester models from 2014 to 2017. Specific fitment includes the 2014-2017 Subaru Forester, including 2.0XT Limited and 2.0XT Premium trims. The strut has a compressed length of 13.38 inches, an extended length of 19.56 inches, and a stroke length of 6.18 inches. It is sold individually.
