The Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW120 is a 12-inch, 4-ohm shallow mount subwoofer designed to deliver serious bass output in compact vehicles. The Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW120 is a 12-inch, 4-ohm shallow mount subwoofer engineered to provide significant bass output, particularly in vehicles with limited installation space. Its "flat" design, measuring under 4 inches deep, allows for creative placement in compact cars and trucks. Constructed with a carbon-glass fiber composite cone featuring a honeycomb pattern, this subwoofer ensures a quick response without flexing, even under demanding conditions. The butyl rubber surround helps maintain cone control and minimizes distortion from resonance. The robust die-cast aluminum basket provides a stable housing and features ample venting to manage heat. For convenient and reliable signal transfer, it is equipped with silver-plated push terminals. This subwoofer handles a power range of 50-350 watts RMS, with a peak power capacity of 1,400 watts. It delivers a frequency response from 30 Hz to 700 Hz with a sensitivity of 91 dB.
