The Kenwood Excelon X500-1 is a mono subwoofer amplifier built for efficient power delivery in compact spaces. Designed with an intelligent thermal management system, this Class-D amplifier utilizes an internal cooling fan that operates only when needed, ensuring uninterrupted performance. This amplifier delivers robust power, rated at 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms and scaling up to 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. It includes a variable low-pass filter adjustable from 50-200 Hz with a 24 dB/octave slope, allowing for precise sound tuning. Additionally, a bass boost feature offers 0-18 dB adjustment at 40 Hz to enhance low-end frequencies. The amplifier meets CEA-2006 standards, confirming its power output under specific testing conditions.
