The Exergy Fuel System Saver Improved Stock Inlet Metering Valve (XRG-E05-10505) is designed to protect high-pressure fuel system components, particularly in vehicles equipped with CP4.2 fuel pumps. It replaces the factory single-layer 85-micron inlet screen with a more robust, two-layer 10-micron stainless steel screen, significantly increasing protection against debris. This valve is a direct replacement for Bosch part numbers 0 928 400 779 and 0 928 400 757, as well as GM and ACDelco part number 12641035, and can also be used to address traditional metering valve failures causing idle surge and rail pressure fluctuations.
