The Genuine BMW Bracket is an exhaust bracket designed to mount to the center or cat section of a six-cylinder E36 3 series exhaust system. It serves as the attachment point for the rubber exhaust hanger.

The Genuine BMW Bracket is a direct replacement part for the exhaust bracket on six-cylinder E36 3 Series models and US spec E36 M3 models. This metal "tang" bracket attaches to the center or catalytic converter section of the stock exhaust system, providing the crucial connection point for the rubber exhaust hanger, which is sold separately. Over time, this bracket can become rusty and break, leading to the exhaust system drooping or hanging improperly, and potentially causing stress on the remaining exhaust hangers. Replacing a damaged bracket is the most effective fix. New exhaust hangers are also recommended but not included with this part. This is a Genuine BMW part and replaces the older BMW part number 18211744659.
