The Remflex REM3028 is an exhaust header/manifold gasket specifically designed for performance applications, including GT40 heads and aftermarket cylinder heads like AFR on Small Block Ford engines. Constructed from a unique, flexible graphite material with over 30 years of proven industrial use, these gaskets are engineered to create a tight, leak-proof seal even under extreme temperatures exceeding 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This material ensures reliability for both daily drivers and race cars. The REM3028 features a 1.250 x 1.625 inch rectangular port and a built-in 50% crush factor. This compressibility allows the gasket to effectively fill voids on potentially warped header flanges or exhaust manifolds, providing a superior seal compared to traditional gaskets. Unlike conventional gaskets, Remflex gaskets do not shrink and therefore never require re-torquing after installation. The suggested torque for these gaskets is 20 ft-lbs.
