Exhaust Heat Shield

The M7 Exhaust Heat Shield is a custom-contoured component designed to reduce destructive under-hood heat in your MINI Cooper's engine compartment without complex installation. This heat shield was developed and tested in real-world conditions using electronic data acquisition equipment. Through extensive testing, including mixed freeway driving at high RPMs and stop-and-go traffic, the M7 Exhaust Heat Shield was found to reduce under-hood temperatures by an average of 68 degrees Fahrenheit. This significant reduction helps keep vital components, such as the coolant reservoir and steering pump reservoir, cooler, thereby minimizing the risk of component failure. Constructed from aerospace-grade insulating materials, the heat shield features a bright reflective silver thermal fabric on its top layer, adorned with a 3-inch embroidered M7 logo. The bottom layer is made from a durable woven Nomex fabric, while the core insulation is composed of high-performance composite nano-fiber ceramic pad material. The product includes a hardware kit and easy-to-follow instructions, making installation a straightforward DIY project with an estimated completion time of one hour or less.
