The Volkswagen Exhaust Manifold, part number 07K-253-031-M, is a genuine component designed to collect exhaust gases from your engine's cylinders and channel them into the exhaust system. This manifold bolts directly to the engine cylinder head, facilitating the flow of gases towards the catalytic converter and exhaust pipes. Typical symptoms of a failing exhaust manifold include noticeable ticking or hissing noises, especially during acceleration or cold starts, which indicate exhaust leaks. You may also experience a reduction in engine performance, such as a loss of power or acceleration, due to improper exhaust flow. Additionally, a faulty manifold can trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL) as oxygen sensor readings become affected. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) often produce these parts, and sometimes you may find an OEM-branded part inside the Genuine VW box. The part is compatible with various Volkswagen models including the Jetta, Golf, Beetle, and Passat, specifically for 2.5L engines produced from July 2011 onwards. It is designed for models produced after 11/21/2010.
