The Ritchie S-53G Explorer Compass is a surface-mount navigation instrument designed for marine use. It features a 2 3/4" (70 mm) direct-reading dial with internal green night illumination. Built with high-temperature composite construction, this compass is built for durability and repairability.

The Explorer Compass includes built-in compensators for adjusting deviation, a scientifically matched sapphire jewel and hardened steel pivot for smooth movement, and powerful DirectiveForce magnets for a fast heading lock. It also comes with a movable sun shield and a 5-year Ritchie warranty.
