EXPREME Exhaust Manifold SR20DET

The Tomei EXPREME exhaust manifold is engineered as a performance upgrade for SR20DET engines, offering an alternative to the genuine exhaust manifold. Designed with a focus on retaining the factory setup, it allows for direct fitment with standard turbos without necessitating special modifications. This exhaust manifold aims to enhance performance, particularly in the higher RPM ranges, by optimizing the flow path from the exhaust port to the turbine. Constructed from SUS304 stainless steel for the pipe and stainless steel for the flange, this manifold features a pipe diameter of MAINφ42.7 with an EXIT 4-2 TYPE configuration and a wall volume of 2.0mm. It weighs 3.3kg, a significant reduction from the stock 5.1kg. The design incorporates a partition plate within the ports and a unique merging of pipes to manage exhaust interference caused by the SR20's firing order (1-3-4-2), thereby preventing excessive anti-pressure rise and achieving ideal exhaust efficiency. The manifold is compatible with both genuine and aftermarket bolt-on turbines. A support bracket is included to ensure product strength. Installation notes indicate that when fitting this manifold to a (R)PS13 model, the factory standard outlet pipe may not be compatible due to variations in some models. In such cases, it is recommended to use Tomei's EXPREME outlet pipe. The manifold is also compatible with the EAI mechanism and blow-by separator, with provisions for installing the EAI Control Valve using an extended metal pipe. The kit includes the Header Unit, Exhaust Manifold Gasket, Turbo Charger Inlet Gasket, Eye Bolt Gaskets (for Oil and Water Lines), Inlet Tube Gasket, Lock Plate, Stud Bolt, and Bandage with Bandage Band.
