The Global CTA-42EXT is a set of extended travel lower control arms designed for 1964-1972 GM A-Body applications. These control arms are specifically intended for coilover applications, allowing for a lowered ride height without a dropped spindle. They feature Del-A-Lum bushings for smooth, long-lasting performance.

The design lowers the shock mount to provide more travel at a reduced ride height, recommended for lowering a car between 1-1/4 to 2-1/4 inches below stock. They also include a sway bar mounting plate for added support to the ball joint area.

The Global West CTA-42EXT are extended travel lower control arms engineered for 1964-1972 GM A-Body vehicles, including models like the Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo, Malibu, and other A-body applications. They are ideal for vehicles intended for pro-touring or achieving a customized look. The control arms feature a lowered shock mount position, which extends the shock length to provide increased suspension travel even at lower ride heights. This design is recommended for lowering a vehicle from 1-1/4 inches down to 2-1/4 inches below stock ride height. For even greater lowering, they can be used with a dropped spindle. The arms also include a sway bar mounting plate to reinforce the ball joint area and strengthening straps around the bushing housings. Equipped with Del-A-Lum bushings, these control arms offer a direct replacement for rubber or polyurethane bushings, providing smooth performance without squeaks or binding. These bushings are designed for longevity, with a lifespan exceeding 100,000 miles, making them suitable for both street and race applications. It is important to note that these control arms will not allow a return to stock ride height unless a longer shock absorber is used. The arms come pre-assembled and utilize standard ball joints for ease of servicing.
