External Blu-ray Writer

The Pioneer BDR-X13UBK is a high-performance external Blu-ray, DVD, and CD writer designed to meet the demands of recording and playback for audio and video content. It achieves a significant evolution in fundamental performance, enhancing writing speed and accuracy while also improving dust resistance and quiet operation through Pioneer’s advanced BD drive technology. This external drive boasts a maximum write speed of up to 16x on BD-R single-layer media, and supports the BDXL format, including 100GB Triple Layer (TL) and 128GB Quadruple Layer (QL) discs, as well as BD-RE Triple Layer (TL) 100GB media. It is also backward compatible with conventional Blu-ray discs (25GB SL and 50GB DL), and offers high-speed reading and writing for DVDs and CDs, with DVD-R discs written at up to 16x and music CDs read at up to 48x speed. For enhanced audio experiences, the BDR-X13UBK features PureRead 3+ technology. This function minimizes error data interpolation when importing audio CDs by automatically detecting the disc state and adjusting the read method using original algorithms. It can be operated vertically or horizontally and includes a simple matte body with a distinctive metallic line and blue light. Additionally, the Custom Eco function helps reduce power consumption by reducing disc rotation speed or stopping rotation when the drive is not in use. The drive is compatible with Windows® 11 and macOS Monterey® 12 through macOS Sequoia™ 15, and includes CyberLink Media Suite 10 software for Windows OS (available for download).
