Overview

The BoostedNW Snake V2 External Install kit is a collection of adapters and cables designed to facilitate the installation of the Snake V2 emulator. This kit includes an enclosure for the Snake and adapters, a chip socket adapter to a ribbon cable, a CN2 socket adapter to a cable, a ribbon cable/extension, and a CN2 cable. Please note that the Snake V2 unit itself is not included in this kit. Additionally, the Snake USB Type-B cable is not included and must be sourced separately if it did not come with the original Snake V2.

The Snake V2 External Install kit provides the necessary components to set up the Snake V2 unit for external tuning applications, acting as an alternative to permanent installation. This kit is ideal for tuners or individuals who work with multiple vehicles and wish to avoid modifying each ECU case. The kit includes a 3D-printed enclosure designed to house the Snake V2 unit and its adapters, a board-to-ribbon cable adapter, an 18-inch ribbon cable with chip pins, and a datalogging cable integrated into the case. This kit facilitates the use of the Snake V2 as an "Ostrich"-style emulator, allowing for real-time programming and datalogging without requiring internal modification of the ECU. It is compatible with various OBD1 ECUs commonly found in Honda and Acura vehicles, including P05, P06, P28, P30, PR4, P75, P61, P72, and P08. For OBD0 vehicles, an OBD1 distributor and jumper harness are required, while OBD2 vehicles will need a jumper harness. Please note that the Snake V2 unit and the USB Type-B cable are sold separately and are not included in this external install kit.
