The Daytona Twin Tec 1009-EX is an external plug-in ignition module designed for select Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It features two advance curve families, a selectable multi-spark mode for quick starts and smooth cruising, and rotary switches for mode selection, timing adjustments, advance slope, and RPM limit. This module is compatible with OEM coils that have less than 1-ohm primary resistance and low-resistance spiral- or carbon-core suppression-type plug wires. It is made in the U.S.A. and includes easy-to-follow instructions.

The Daytona Twin Tec 1009-EX is an external plug-in ignition module engineered for specific Harley-Davidson Twin Cam and Sportster models from 2004-2006. This module is California A.R.B. approved (E.O. NO. D-641-1), making it emissions legal for these carbureted applications. Installation is designed to be straightforward with its plug-and-play nature for all HD 2004-2006 Carb Twin Cam Engines. The module comes with rotary switches that allow for easy adjustment of mode selection, timing adjustments, advance slope, and RPM limit in 100-RPM steps. It is compatible with all aftermarket tachometers and supports OE sensors, including the instrument cluster and TSM/TSSM. The billet aluminum housing with a black anodized finish ensures durability. For optimal performance, it must be used with OEM coils that have a primary resistance of 1-ohm or less and low-resistance spiral- or carbon-core suppression-type plug wires. Important notes for installation include: this module will not work on fuel-injected models. Additionally, a critical warning states: DO NOT CONNECT PIN 2 to 12 Volts, as this connection WILL DAMAGE the TC88A IGNITION and VOID your warranty; Pin 2 is intended for an optional Tachometer OUTPUT signal. The 1009-EX version features advance curves with a slightly larger adjustment range and has been tested for emissions compliance.
