Externally Adjustable Front Strut Assembly

The Strange Suspension aluminum strut package is a high-performance component designed specifically for drag racing applications with hub mount wheels. This package includes eye mount struts featuring forged 2014-T4 aluminum bodies and stainless steel spindles, providing a lightweight and durable construction. The struts offer a 2.5-inch stroke (with bumper installed) and are externally adjustable for the rate of extension, enabling precise tuning of the front suspension's behavior. This comprehensive kit also includes components for the lower control arms and a heavy-duty 4-piston caliper brake kit. The lower control arm ends are constructed from 4130 steel with Teflon-lined spherical ball bearings, paired with Grade 8 hardware. The control arm tubing kit utilizes 4130 seamless tubing and adapters. The included brake kit features one-piece forged slotted steel rotors, four-piston billet aluminum directional calipers, soft metallic brake pads, and forged aluminum hubs. It is available with a 4 1/2″ or 4 3/4″ bolt pattern and includes Timken bearings, races, oil seals, and 1/2″-20 screw-in wheel studs. Premium Hyperco springs, made from chrome silicone steel, are also part of the package, Magnaflux inspected and dark blue powder coated, with a choice of spring rates available to match different vehicle weights and racing needs. A spring seat bearing kit is included to allow for smooth height adjustment and prevent spring bind during turns. Note that brake hoses and lines are not included, and calipers are tapped 1/8″ NPT and supplied with male 3 AN fittings. Recommended spring rates are provided based on front weight, ranging from 200 lbs for 1,100 lbs front weight up to 300-325 lbs for 1,600 lbs front weight.
