Extreme Duty Street/Strip TH400 Transmission with Transbrake

The Hughes Performance 34-3X is an Extreme Duty Street/Strip series TH400 transmission designed for high-performance applications. This transmission features a transbrake and a reverse shift pattern (P-R-N-1-2-3). It is rated for 1,000 flywheel horsepower and can typically handle up to 1,150 flywheel horsepower. Key internal components and features include a cleaned, prepped, and painted GM heavy duty transmission case, all new bearings, bushings, seals, gaskets, and premium Teflon sealing rings. It also boasts a roller bearing conversion, a blueprinted high-output front pump with a forged steel gear set, and a 300M billet steel input shaft. The clutch system is robust, with 6 red Alto clutches and heavy-duty steels in the forward and direct clutch packs, and 4 red Alto clutches and heavy-duty steels in the intermediate clutch pack. An extreme duty 34-element intermediate sprag and a heat-treated sprag race are included for enhanced durability. Further enhancements include custom lube modifications to the center support, blueprinted planetary gear sets, a heavy-duty low roller clutch, a high static rear band, and a heavy-duty rear servo. The transmission is equipped with a Pro Series fluid release transbrake, a high-flow filter, and a deep cast aluminum pan that holds an additional two quarts of fluid and includes a drain plug. This transmission is fully dyno tested to verify shift function, transbrake function, and line pressure. A $200 core charge and freight charges are billed separately. Hughes transmissions carry a 90-day warranty for Street/Strip applications, limited to the replacement of friction materials, seals, and gaskets.
