The SuspensionMAXX Extreme Duty Sway Bar Links (SMX-1227) are engineered to withstand the increased demands placed on lifted Dodge Ram trucks, specifically models experiencing a higher roll center. Designed as a direct replacement for factory sway bar end links, these heavy-duty components offer a 33% larger and 50% stronger configuration compared to the original design. This enhanced strength is crucial for handling the extreme dynamic loads that lifted trucks generate. Constructed with durability in mind, these sway bar links feature 4140 alloy steel eyelets, drawn-over-mandrel steel tubing, and grade 8 bolts. They replace the wear-prone stock ball socket with a robust, long-lasting design. The use of thermoplastic/urethane bushings provides superior performance and longevity over traditional rubber designs. The SMX-1227 links are specifically designed for 2006-2010 Dodge Ram 4x4 2500/3500 models, including Mega Cab configurations, with an approximate 6-inch lift. They feature a 10.0-inch center-to-center measurement and directly replace Dodge part number 68001734AB. Installation is straightforward, requiring no drilling and typically taking between 45 minutes to an hour, with support available from SuspensionMAXX Technical Support.
