At the core of this kit is an extreme lightweight one-piece caliper, precision CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet. This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs. and incorporates protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to superior performance and durability. The opposed piston caliper design inherently improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Further enhancing performance, the kit includes stainless-steel brake lines that resist expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent braking force. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to better handling and responsiveness. For applications enduring extreme heat, a floating disc option is available to mitigate thermal stresses that can lead to warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotor's unique slot design is optimized to minimize braking noise while more rapidly expelling gas and pad debris than conventional designs. Each rotor undergoes rigorous heat treatment and balancing prior to shipment, guaranteeing the best possible performance out of the box.
