The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers an extreme brake upgrade for vehicles seeking the ultimate in stopping power. This sophisticated bolt-on system integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and maintain optimal performance under demanding conditions. It continually cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during braking, ensuring consistent performance. The caliper itself is an extreme lightweight, one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration and weighs just over 5 lbs. each. Standard on each caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, contributing to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs. The opposed piston caliper design enhances rigidity and pad wear. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly for reduced rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications include a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses that can warp or cup the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor effectively reduces braking noise and expedites the expulsion of gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are recommended for more frequent track use. Stainless-steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure.
