The kit's extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet and features a differential bore configuration. Each caliper weighs just over 5 lbs. and includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design offers substantial improvements in pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM setups. Stainless-steel brake lines are incorporated to eliminate expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly, which contributes to reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface. Every rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing prior to shipment to ensure optimal performance. Ksport offers both cross-drilled rotors (recommended for daily driving) and slotted rotors (recommended for track use), with unique slot designs that reduce noise and improve debris expulsion. It is important to note that Ksport Big Brake kits generally fit 2WD vehicles only, unless otherwise specified. The BKHD021-836CO kit is compatible with Honda Del Sol 1993-1997 and Honda Civic 1992-1995 EG EX Coupe, EX Sedan, LX Sedan, and SI models. Fitment Industries indicates that the "Part Does Not Fit the Vehicle You Entered!" for some configurations and that "In most cases, aftermarket big brake kits aren't compatible with this style" or "don't fit within the very limited spacing."
