The design focuses on performance and ease of installation, typically requiring minimal tools. The caliper is an extreme lightweight, one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet. It weighs just over 5 lbs and includes features like machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances both pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Stainless-steel brake lines are utilized to prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option, which mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing the disc from warping or the braking surface from cupping.
