The MGW F-Body Camaros Short Throw Shifter is engineered and manufactured with precision and patented design technology, offering a significant upgrade for your vehicle's shifting experience. This short throw shifter is specifically designed for F-body Camaro and Trans Am models equipped with the T56 6-speed transmission, providing a class of its own in performance and feel. This shifter boasts the shortest throw in its class and is noted as being the quietest aftermarket shifter available. It features the strongest centering springs in its class, which helps prevent missing gears, and reduces in-gear slop, vibration, and buzzing. Installation is straightforward, with no modification of the factory inner boot required. The shifter accepts factory or aftermarket shift knobs with 16mm threads, and a 12mm threaded shaft option is also available. The construction features Class III Teflon Impregnated Hard Coat Anodizing to prevent galling and grease contamination. This shifter is compatible with 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro (V8, T-56 Transmission) and 1993-2002 Pontiac Trans Am and Firebird (V8, T-56 Transmission) models. If the shifter is not being installed on a Camaro, Trans Am, or Firebird, the customer must specify the desired clocking position (3, 6, 9, or 12 o'clock) for the handle, as this cannot be changed post-installation.
