The GForce 1970-1974 F-Body Crossmember is a transmission support designed for Camaro, Firebird, and Trans AM models. It is compatible with 6L80E and 6L90E slip yoke transmissions.

The GForce RCF2E-6L80 is a transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1970-1974 GM F-Body models, including Camaro, Firebird, and Trans AM. This crossmember is designed to accommodate 6L80E and 6L90E transmissions that utilize a slip yoke. For optimal fitment with these transmissions, a GMTM Transmission Mount and GF-GMTM-SP Shims are included with this product. When measuring your frame for installation, note that the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes on 1970-1974 frames is 30-1/2 inches. It is recommended to measure your frame before ordering to ensure proper selection. The crossmember features a black powder-coated finish for durability and corrosion resistance. All necessary mounting hardware is included. Installation instructions are available for download, and G Force emphasizes their commitment to engineering solutions that simplify installation without compromising quality. For installation, the G Force label should face the rear of the vehicle. A key identifier is the 1/2″ drain slot on the bottom and passenger side of the center tube. The exhaust clearance humps should be positioned on the top, open on the bottom. To use the provided 7/16″ hardware, frame holes may need to be enlarged to 1/2″ with a drill. If using stock 3/8″ hardware, using new Grade #8 fasteners is strongly recommended.
