The SP383 Deluxe crate engine is rated at 435 horsepower and 445 lb.-ft. of torque. It comes with the crankshaft balancer, intake manifold, carburetor, and distributor installed. This engine uses LS-inspired valvetrain technology to expand its rpm range, combining traditional torque with more high-rpm horsepower. It features lightweight aluminum cylinder heads based on the Fast Burn design, beehive-style valve springs for high-rpm performance and durability, a forged steel stroker crankshaft, an aggressive hydraulic roller camshaft, and a high-flow aluminum single-plane intake manifold. As a Chevrolet Performance Turn-Key Engine, it includes the carburetor, front-end accessory kit, crankshaft balancer, chrome air cleaner, starter, water pump, and spark plug wires (some installation required).
