F303 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft

The Ford Performance Parts F303 Camshaft (M-6250-F303) is engineered to deliver enhanced power, performance, and an aggressive exhaust note for your 5.0L pushrod engine. This hydraulic roller camshaft boasts 288 degrees of advertised intake and exhaust duration, with a valve lift of .512 inches and a 114-degree lobe separation. Its basic operating range is between 3,500 and 6,500 RPM. This camshaft is designed for 1985 and later 302 roller cam blocks. It also offers compatibility with earlier non-roller 289-302 blocks when used with hydraulic roller lifters, and with 1994-1997 351W blocks (factory roller cam or non-roller with hydraulic roller lifters). For EFI engines, the F303 camshaft requires a mass air induction system; it is not compatible with Explorer EEC-V EFI or speed density EFI systems. It is also compatible with 1994-97 351W engines using mass air EFI. Installation of the F303 camshaft requires upgraded valve springs, with a minimum requirement of 120 lbs of valve seat pressure and 295 lbs open. A higher stall torque converter is recommended for automatic transmissions, and manual transmission is recommended for optimal performance. Modifications such as piston-to-valve clearance checks and potential piston modification may be necessary. Longer pushrods might also be required.
