The Motive Gear F7.5-373 differential ring and pinion set is engineered as a high-strength replacement for OE drivetrain components. Each set undergoes rigorous quality control processes to ensure precision and long-term reliability for both trail use and street performance. The set includes a 41-tooth ring gear and an 11-tooth pinion, manufactured from 8620 steel for superior durability. Installation of this gear set requires specific hardware for proper setup. Notably, it necessitates the use of a notched cross pin (part 80-0271-1) to provide sufficient ring gear clearance within the Ford 7.5-inch 10-bolt differential case. It will not fit in Auburn carriers. Proper torquing and potentially a ring gear spacer may be required during the installation process to ensure optimal gear mesh and alignment. This gear set is compatible with a wide array of Ford and Mercury vehicles, including the Ford Mustang (1979-2010), Ford Ranger (1983-2013), and Ford Aerostar (1986-1997), among others.
