The Outfront Motorsports FA20DIT Basic Built Forged Shortblock is engineered for performance enthusiasts seeking a robust foundation for their 2015+ WRX. This non-closed deck (E20) engine block is built with forged internals and is capable of handling up to 600 BHP, making it suitable for higher power applications. Key components include seasoned FA20DIT E20 case halves for durability. The shortblock is equipped with JE forged pistons, featuring a standard 10.6:1 compression ratio, though other options may be available. Connecting the pistons to the crankshaft are Callies forged H-beam rods secured with ARP2000 rod bolts, renowned for their strength and reliability. Engine internals are further enhanced with King Performance bearings, and a new, heat-treated OEM Subaru crankshaft ensures consistent performance. Assembly is performed in-house by Outfront Motorsports in a cleanroom environment, ensuring meticulous quality control. The blocks are bored and honed using torque plates, with all tolerances double-checked. Every part is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before assembly.
