The Nissan thermostat assembly provides a precise, direct-fit solution for restoring your vehicle's cooling system efficiency. As a genuine OEM part, it is engineered to meet exacting factory standards for flow rate and thermal regulation, ensuring the engine operates within its designated temperature range of 82°C (±1.5°C). This assembly includes the necessary housing for a streamlined installation. Compatibility is confirmed for 1995-2002 Nissan Maxima models equipped with the 3.0L VQ30DE engine and 2009-2020 Nissan 370Z models featuring the 3.7L VQ37VHR engine. It replaces previous part numbers 21200-31U00, 21200-31U01, and 21200-31U02. Proper installation requires draining the cooling system completely before removing the old unit. After replacing the thermostat and housing, the system must be refilled and bled of air to ensure reliable operation. While a direct replacement, professional installation is recommended to guarantee the cooling system is properly purged of air pockets.
