The Racing Dynamics hood scoop is a performance-oriented exterior component engineered specifically for MINI Cooper S vehicles, including R55, R56, R57, R58, and R59 chassis models. Designed as a high-strength alternative to factory plastic components, this scoop offers a durable, lightweight solution that mounts directly in place of the original unit using existing hardware. Each unit is manufactured using a dry carbon fiber process. In this method, resin is impregnated into the carbon fabric at the manufacturer's facility to ensure precise distribution throughout the material. The prepreg fabric is then cut, placed into a mold, and cured in an autoclave under high heat and pressure, which minimizes excess resin content to improve overall part strength and reduce weight. Installation is straightforward and requires only the removal of the original plastic scoop, followed by securing the carbon fiber replacement using the stock retaining hardware. This part is intended for Cooper S applications and is not a thin carbon fiber overlay.
