Factory Shifter Conversion Kit

The Shiftworks SC248 Factory Shifter Conversion Kit is engineered to integrate your vehicle's original automatic floor shifter with a different transmission. This kit is compatible with a wide range of GM automatic transmissions, including 3-speed, 4-speed overdrives (TH350, TH400, TH200-4R, TH700-R4, 4L60E, 4L70E), 4L80E, and 6-speed automatics (6L80E, 6L90E). This conversion kit includes a shift cable, shifter cable adapter, new shifter detent (except for 6L80E/6L90E kits), a hardware kit, transmission cable bracket, and transmission shift levers. The kit can also be used when switching from a column shift to a factory-style SS floor shifter. Note that console gear indicators are not available at this time. It is important to note that this kit does not allow for steering lock or neutral safety column linkages. For 4LE series transmissions, solutions may involve using the gear position switch on the transmission, or adapting specialty levers upon request. When using the kit with a 6-speed transmission, the factory detent will be retained, and not all available positions may be used.
