It is found as standard on the Japanese Civic Type R FD2 and can bolt directly onto compatible vehicles without modifications. Once installed, the vehicle will require mapping.

The RRC intake manifold is a genuine Honda part, considered an ultimate upgrade for K-series engines. It is standard equipment on the Japanese Civic Type R FD2. However, after installation, the vehicle's ECU will need to be remapped to optimize performance. This intake manifold can also be used on K20(A) and K24(A) engines, though some modifications may be necessary. For K20A engines, the water port piece on the left side of the intake will need to be cut off. For K24A engines, no such modifications are required. Expect gains of approximately 5-10 bhp when replacing the standard FN2 inlet manifold. The product is listed with part number 17100-PRB-A01 and is noted as being discontinued, with 17100-PRB-A02 as its replacement.
