The Integrated Engineering FDS Intercooler Kit is engineered to revolutionize boost cooling for VW MK7/MK8 and Audi 8V/8Y 2.0T & 1.8T Gen 3 engines. It utilizes a massive 425mmX621mmX70mm bar & fin core, boasting 137% more volume than the stock intercooler. It is Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) optimized for peak efficiency and hand TIG welded in the USA, with each unit undergoing pressure testing to guarantee reliability. The high-grip, beveled inlet and outlet design ensures secure connections for boost hoses, preventing leaks. Designed as a direct bolt-in replacement, the IE FDS Intercooler requires no permanent modifications for installation. Mounting points for factory components are precisely machined, and reinforced mounting brackets are included. While generally an OEM replacement, owners of 2022+ MK8 & 8Y vehicles may need to trim the plastic radiator shroud slightly. Additionally, due to its substantial size and tight tolerances, some aftermarket radiators may not be compatible with this intercooler.
