Competition Plus Intake Valves by Ferrea are manufactured using special aerospace quality alloys, including EV8-Z18, providing high tensile strength. An exclusive two-step slow forging process ensures proper grain flow and virtually eliminates damage to the material structure. The valves undergo a 48-hour heat treatment and stress-relieving process for molecular integrity. They feature avionics-quality hard chrome and a specially applied hard tip. The design aims for an optimum balance of flow, velocity, and efficiency, incorporating smoother radiuses and unique undercuts.
