FHR PISTON KIT BBC 454

Icon's FHR (Formed Head Relief) pistons provide quality on a budget for Chevrolet 454 CID engines. They feature valve reliefs formed into the piston during the forging process and are made from 11% silicon 4032 aluminum, allowing for tighter piston-to-wall clearance, reduced friction, extended piston life, and reduced wear. Mini grooves facilitate heat transfer, and skirts are machined using UEM's unique in-house built CNC machines. Wrist pins and spiral locks are included; the 5/64 x 5/64 x 3/16 ring set is not included. This kit is designed for a closed chamber with a 4.250" standard bore size and 9.800" OE deck height, offering compression ratios ranging from 9.6:1 to 11.8:1 depending on cylinder head volume.
