Icon FHR (Formed Head Relief) Piston Kit. FHR pistons have valve reliefs formed into the piston as the forging blank is pressed into the die. Many FHR dome pistons feature a solid dome, allowing engine builders to machine the dome to their desired compression ratio. FHR pistons are 11% silicon, allowing tighter piston-to-wall clearance. They use 4032 aluminum to decrease friction, resulting in extended piston life and reduced wear. Features include mini grooves for heat transfer, skirts machined by UEM's CNC machines, die-formed relief valves, accumulator groove for ring seal, and centered pin. Wrist pins and spiral locks are included.
