The NGK 7355 XR5IX Iridium IX spark plug is engineered to meet the demands of performance enthusiasts, offering a significant upgrade over conventional spark plugs. Its design focuses on delivering enhanced acceleration, improved fuel efficiency, and exceptional durability. The fine wire center electrode ensures a consistent and strong spark, contributing to optimal combustion and engine performance. Constructed with an iridium alloy, known for being six times harder and eight times stronger than platinum, these spark plugs are built to withstand high temperatures and resist wear. This robust construction translates to a longer service life and sustained performance. The pre-set gap is 0.040", with a 13/16" (21 mm) hex size, a 9.5 mm (3/8") reach, and a gasket seat type, ensuring compatibility and a secure fit in a wide range of applications. NGK's Iridium IX plugs also feature a tapered cut ground electrode, which further enhances ignitability and reduces the quenching effect within the combustion chamber. This leads to better ignition performance, particularly under demanding conditions. The durable shell protects the spark plug from damage, ensuring reliable operation throughout its lifespan.
