The kit also includes one extended M10x60 mounting bolt, with factory bolts being reusable for the other mounting holes.

The BMW 33117512980-KIT is a comprehensive finned differential cover kit designed to enhance the performance and longevity of your BMW's rear differential. The addition of massive cooling fins on the cover helps to dissipate heat generated during operation, especially during demanding track sessions, thereby preventing fluid overheating and potential costly failures. This kit contains all the necessary components for installation, including a Genuine BMW finned differential cover, Genuine BMW differential drain and fill plugs, OEM Reinzosil sealing compound for a reliable seal, and two quarts of Red Line 75W90 differential fluid. This kit is specifically designed for E46 models and is also compatible with certain Z4 and X3 models. The kit includes one extended M10x60 mounting bolt, which is required for the conversion to the finned differential cover. The remaining seven mounting holes can utilize your vehicle's factory bolts. It is recommended to consult with a BMW expert or use the vehicle selector tool to confirm exact fitment for your specific model, as this kit does not fit M3 models or certain other configurations. Some kit components may be covered under a Lifetime Replacement Program.
