Description

The Infinity Design Carbon Intake System for BMW N55 engine is a pre-preg 3-piece autoclave carbon fiber construction. It features a semi-sealed design for optimal air temperature efficiency and is available in gloss or matte clear-coated finishes. This system aims to improve throttle response and induction noise with a plug & play fitment. The design includes a large cross-sectional turbo inlet tube with integrated MAF and a smooth non-concentric expanding inlet tube with silicone couplers, acting as a large velocity stack. The air filter is completely encapsulated within the air filter housing to reject hot engine bay air, maintaining intake air temperatures equal to ambient at speeds above 20mph. Dyno tests show increased torque at lower RPMs and power gains after 4900rpm, estimated at +16-18HP (flywheel). Installation is estimated at 30 minutes and no tuning is required.
