The ATS Diesel 302-950-3104 Five Star Performance Torque Converter is engineered to handle daily driving and demanding towing tasks, providing consistent performance. It integrates an optimized factory stall speed range of 1300-1500 RPM and significantly boosts torque multiplication to a 2.4:1 ratio, a substantial improvement over the stock 1.25:1. This enhanced torque multiplication directly translates to a more responsive vehicle, improved towing capabilities, and a superior driving experience. Constructed with a billet cover featuring a patented Square Flank Drive system and square tab construction, this torque converter utilizes a Viskus Clutch Drive system with CNC laser-cut clutch plates for increased efficiency. It incorporates a billet piston with a patented Flank Drive Tab design and a proprietary ATS-exclusive clutch formulation with unique bonding technology for a 100% chemical bond. The unit also features a redesigned spring dampener to support increased torque loads, 4340 hardened turbine splines for longevity, and fully welded turbine and impeller vanes. Additionally, a CNC stator with high-flow windows enhances oil flow for greater efficiency, and full roller bearing construction is present in high-load areas. The pump drive hub is 4340 CNC cut and locked into the impeller housing, with plasma welding used throughout for exceptional strength. This torque converter is backed by a 5-year/500,000-mile warranty. It is specifically designed to fit 1989-2003 Ford F250, F350, and F450 trucks equipped with the 7.3L Power Stroke diesel engine and either the E4OD or 4R100 transmission.
