Five Star Performance Torque Converter

The ATS Diesel Five Star Performance Torque Converter is engineered to significantly upgrade the 6R140 transmission in 2011-2019 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke vehicles. This torque converter boasts 160% more combined clutch surface, double the friction surfaces, and 20% greater piston surface area than OEM converters, leading to increased clamping force and overall reliability. Constructed with a billet cover, piston, and retaining ring, this converter is built for enhanced durability. It features furnace-brazed impeller vanes, balanced rotating components, a patented square lug design, and a two-piece construction with a 12-bolt cover. The patented Viskus Clutch Drive System and CNC laser-cut Viskus Disc clutch plates contribute to increased efficiency. Additional features include a billet piston with a patented flank drive tab design, proprietary clutch formulation with unique bonding technology, a redesigned spring dampener, 4340 hardened turbine splines, fully welded turbine and impeller vanes, and a CNC stator with high-flow windows. With a factory torque multiplication of approximately 1.25:1, the ATS Five Star converter achieves 2.4:1 at peak engine torque. This heightened torque multiplication results in improved vehicle response, better towing capabilities, and an overall enhanced driving experience. Every Five-Star converter comes with a 5-year/500,000-mile warranty, underscoring its reliability for daily driving and heavy towing duties. A critical installation note: a 6 or 12-bolt design flex plate, such as the ATS Billet Flex Plate, must be used with this torque converter for proper function and safety.
