The ATS Diesel Five Star Performance Torque Converter is engineered for demanding daily driving and towing applications in 1994-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins engine and 47RH, 47RE, or 48RE transmissions. This converter enhances performance by providing an improved torque multiplication of 2.4:1, compared to the factory 1.25:1, which directly translates to better vehicle response, towing, and overall driving dynamics when peak engine torque is achieved. Construction details include a billet stator with an F-Trim, a positive impeller, and a billet cover with a patented Square Flank Drive. It features square tab construction, Viskus Disc CNC laser-cut clutch plates, and a proprietary ATS clutch formulation with unique bonding technology for a 100 percent chemical bond. The unit is further strengthened with a redesigned spring dampener for increased torque loads, 4340 hardened turbine splines, fully welded turbine and impeller vanes, and plasma welding for superior strength. Internally, it utilizes a CNC stator with high-flow windows for increased oil flow and efficiency, full roller bearing construction in high-load areas, and a 4340 CNC-cut pump drive hub locked into the impeller housing. This torque converter comes with a comprehensive 5-year or 500,000-mile warranty, underscoring its durability and ATS Diesel's confidence in its performance. It is sold individually.
