FK8 Clutch Retro Flywheel

The RV6 1.5T FK8 Clutch Retro Flywheel is engineered to enable the installation of a 2017+ Civic Type R (FK8) clutch disc and pressure plate onto your 1.5T Si or any other 1.5T manual transmission-equipped vehicle. This allows you to leverage the robust holding capacity of factory FK8 clutches, which can handle over 400 ft-lb of torque, or the wider range of aftermarket FK8 clutch options available for higher-performance applications. Constructed from high-strength forged chromoly, this flywheel is 42% lighter than the stock unit. The reduced weight contributes to a more responsive engine and quicker acceleration without significantly compromising drivability. The design intentionally avoids excessive weight reduction to prevent misfire detection issues within the ECU and to maintain a more comfortable idle and lower RPM operation, avoiding the tendency to stall common with very light flywheels. This flywheel retains the pilot bushing for the input shaft and comes pre-installed. It is fully machined and balanced for optimal performance and longevity. The package includes the retro flywheel, a pivot bolt spacer (which must be installed), a pre-installed pilot bushing, and eight M12 x 1.0 x 32.5mm OHL flywheel bolts. It is compatible with any factory or aftermarket FK8 clutch and pressure plate, and retains the pilot bushing for the input shaft.
